Where is all the mistletoe I wanna kiss your lips like crazy What’s a Christmas Eve without my baby You are lookin’ fine tonight Stoke the fire and hold me tight Nothin’ better than a Christmas Eve with you Room filled with your sweet perfume All alone in the living room Take my hand and dance me By the light of the Christmas tree Oh, you and me Oh I’m in a jolly mood tonight Hop in my sleigh we’ll take a flight I feel like staying up all night with you We’ll fly high up to the moon And all the way we’ll sing this tune Cause what’s a Christmas Eve without my baby Let the world disappear Come with me, let’s leave the atmosphere Take my hand and dance me By the light of the Christmas tree Oh, you and me Oh, on Christmas Eve Oh ***Instrumental*** Let’s sit and watch the fire glow Underneath some mistletoe Bing is singing “Let It Snow”, so let it snow Kiss me baby one more time And hang your stocking close to mine Cause what’s a Christmas Eve without my baby What’s a Christmas Eve without my baby What’s a Christmas Eve without my baby

about

On a late fall November night of 2019, the starry-eyed singer-songwriter Lee Langdon wrote “What’s a Christmas Eve Without My Baby?” on his family’s living room piano, reminiscing about past late-night romantic Christmas Eves spent with his beautiful wife in that very room. Immediately, Langdon knew his song needed a swinging Big Band arrangement to complement the lyrics and melody he had written. With the masterly arranging work of OKC’s local Vince Norman (arrangement, saxophone), and the brilliant producing of Jeff Hall (exec producer) and Mike Turner (horns producer), and with the top A-list jazz players in the city, Langdon’s Big Band Christmas wish came true when recording at The Music Group studio in Jazz-rich Oklahoma City, and with the reputable LG Hamilton in the engineering seat.
